I don’t usually compile lists in my head of ten games because only a select few titles really keep my enthusiasm by the end of the year. However, when thinking about my backlog and the games that did come out this year, it reignited a spark in me that felt these games needed recognizing. Here are my Top 10 games for 2018:

Once again, this phrase turned out to be entirely correct . What a shocker. In the epilogue, you do end up at Beecher’s Hope, even if not immediately, and build up your ranch. There are mini-games that are just mashing buttons (which were surprisingly fun). I don’t recall a gazebo specifically, but you do build John’s house in a similar manner.

By entering the cheat code “Eat of knowledge”, you’ll miraculously learn every recipe the game has to offer. Much like the popular Hunger Games series, players in “Gun Rush” will often find the best weapons are placed in the middle of the map . Some players, especially those new to BR games, may want to take their time and allow other players to kill each other off. However, if you truly want an advantage, sticking to the outskirts will leave you lacking in decent weapons for the final battle. Instead, rushing to the center right away can give you a one-up on the competition early
While games like Fornite focus heavily on sound to alert players of nearby enemies or loot, Red Dead Online has a different approach. As if the game wasn’t tense enough, players will notice their controller begin to vibrate rhythmically as players draw near. This is a fantastic tool to alert you to enemies that may be just out of your line of sight. Use this to your advantage whenever possible. Just remember, if you’re moving and feel a vibration, the other player probably feels it,
As on any big game with an interconnected plot and multiple side missions, things can get pretty complicated. And just because I think Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best game to come out this year (take that God of War ), does not mean I can’t recognize its flaws. Due to the executives and investors not finding the project “innovative enough,” I can only guess that features such as realistic weight gain, food, core systems, and the schedules of NPCs were refined/added to please them. If an early build of Red Dead Redemption 2 was not innovative enough for Rockstar’s producers and stockholders, then can you imagine the challenge the team may face for their next potential games like Grand Theft Auto VI or Bully 2 ? Red Dead Redemption has its fair share of grounded details, like how Arthur’s interactions with people are negatively affected if he doesn’t mind his hygiene, and then there are unique details like an after-hours ghost.
