As it stands, there are a number of games confirmed for E3 2018 , including some from the companies hosting press conferences to games by other developers and publishers. Some of these games will be playable on the show floor, and others will only be seen as trailers or video packa
Ratchet & Clank studio Insomniac Games has been entrusted with Spider-Man , and we know next to nothing about the game so far, which makes its potential E3 appearance even more exciting. Hopefully this year’s E3 will give fans a look at some actual in-game footage, along with plot details and features fans can look forward to when the web-slinger’s next game finally hits store shel
While Fable proper was about taking one’s player through a pre-determined life cycle — making life-altering decisions along the way — Fable Heroes puts up to four players in control of a wide variety of Fable archetypes. Rather than giving each player the gameplay mechanics present in the RPG version of the game, Heroes designates each player’s “puppet hero” with a specific skill. There are a handful of puppets to choose from, some of which hearken back to key moments in Fable ‘s history, but all basically fall into one of three roles (ranged, melee, mag
There’s already an enormous ad for the game in Los Angeles , so while Sony hasn’t formally announced that it will be at the show, E3 attendees should be able to count on seeing more of Kratos’ next adventure games mounts come Mon
The Last of Us launched to rave reviews back in 2013, and fans have been waiting patiently for their chance to see what happens next to heroes Joel and Ellie. Set years after the end of the original game, rumors have been flying that The Last of Us: Part 2 features a dead Joel now that Ellie is the main playable character, though E3 might offer some clarification on that front and potentially put some of these rumors to r
It’s that time of year once again, as game enthusiasts around the world look to Los Angeles for all the newest details and world exclusive reveals of their most coveted titles. One look at last year’s surprise reveals and announcements show that even with a laundry-list of flagship properties to show off, developers have just as many surprises in store. Not all of our E3 2011 dreams will come true, but we can certainly h
As it stands, it seems like Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference will mostly focus on Project Scorpio, but that doesn’t mean it will be free of games. Fans can expect to see some big name Xbox One console exclusives on display, including the likes of Crackdown
Besides the games Nintendo has already announced for E3, fans should be able to expect some surprise game announcements, in addition to new looks at previously revealed Switch titles like Yoshi and maybe even Metroid Prime
While many gamers have the press conferences for both Sony and Nintendo pretty well figured out, the big question mark in the room is the Microsoft conference. There are a few titles that most expect to see from the company, but there is a lot of mystery in the air, and a hope that some really huge surprises are lying in w
While Sony’s focus will be on those four titles, the company is also expected to highlight some other games, with Dreams from Media Molecule confirmed for the show. It’s likely that Sony has some surprises up its sleeve as well, so PlayStation enthusiasts should be sure to tune
Fable Heroes feels like a cash grab in the truest sense of the word — a game that has no business carrying the Fable moniker. While each entry in the franchise does fall short of some lofty expectations , they at least aspire to do something original. Fable Heroes , on the other hand, gets a few things right, but they’re not worth your t
With Nintendo forgoing a traditional press conference yet again, the extent of the Big N’s presence at E3 is a bit of an unknown factor. However, we do know that Nintendo plans on hosting a Nintendo Direct presentation like it did last year, and this time it will be headlined by Super Mario Odyssey , the biggest Nintendo Switch exclusive game on the horizon. What we’ve seen of Super Mario Odyssey so far has been plenty impressive, but along with more gameplay footage, here’s hoping that Nintendo also gives the highly anticipated game a release date come E3 next w
As the third part of Microsoft’s Arcade Next XBLA promotion (which has included Bloodforge and Trials Evolution so far) Fable Heroes fits the casual, family-friendly bill. A cooperative button masher that combines elements of Lionhead Studios’ wildly popular series and a more traditional board game, Fable Heroes is very hard to label – and even harder to expl
Unfortunately, a lot of what Fable Heroes brings to the table, aside from that, is dull and uninteresting. Combat devolves into mashing the same button over and over again, and earning coins, while competitive, doesn’t carry quite the joy that it should. Lionhead does infuse a few of its signature Fable flairs, like branching paths and good vs. evil choices, into the game but both are either too few and far between, or just a different way to prolong the experience. It’s only the board game leveling system, and the title’s brief mini-games — like mine-cart racing — that provide brief respites from an otherwise uninspired experie
