While actually playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is very close to the Source experience, it’s just different enough to force gamers into making some mental adjustments. Matches can still be over in 30 seconds, and each bullet truly counts. Communication between team members can make or break matches, whether it’s calling for cover fire or organizing a rush to Bombsite B. While there are no modified servers online, regular servers (with set map rotations, unfortunately) can be found in abundance. Also, it’s easier than ever to join a party of online friends. While it wasn’t hard before, the ability to join a lobby with a select group allows for much more organization when playing with friends. The scoring system is now much more functional as well, with a much cleaner design and scorebo
Valve certainly has no shortage of gamers still coming back for Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source , which attracts both casual players and those who want to try and etch their name into the still-active professional gaming scene. Another perk with a rocky history, Tombstone Soda is back in Modern Warfare Zombies , now better than ever. When the perk first appeared in Black Ops 2, it failed to find a solid footing and quickly disappeared after appearing in Tranzit. Ten years later, Tombstone is back and more effective than ever. One of the best tools a solo player can have in their arsenal, while active, if players die and fail to exfil from a game they will drop a tombstone at the location of death . On the next deployment, players will be able to find their grave site from the previous game, interact with the tombstone, and reacquire all items from the previous g
Players will not have to hold the Neutralizer at various points, like a typical Escort contract , but will have to e scort the Neutralizer for an extended distance while fighting off Tier II Zombies and Specials/Elites . Players will have a much easier time with the escort if they simply ride on top of the Neutralizer while eliminating enemies. While players will have a temporary reprieve from damage on top of the Neutralizer, but if players fail to kill enemies in a timely manner, eventually zombies will begin to gather and some will begin throwing chunks of flesh at players. If too many zombies group up, players can immediately get downed by the rapid throwing of flesh, so players will need to stay on top of eliminating the crowd that is not run over and destroyed by the Neutralizer its
Jugger-Nog will increase players’ health from 150 to 250 and provide fatal protection – meaning a player’s health will drop to 1 on a fatal hit from an enemy, not zero, requiring one additional hit to down players and giving an extra moment to esc
Players will encounter two types of strongholds throughout the Modern Warfare Zombies mission area – Infected Strongholds and Mercenaries Strongholds. Larger and deadlier versions of Aether Nests or Encampments , respectively, strongholds provide a bigger challenge and significantly more loot for play
In order to deploy the Neutralizer, players will need to destroy the two SAM missiles on the roof of the resort – players need only approach the missiles and interact to plant the bombs, but the defending Terminus forces on the roof will be relentless . There are explosive barrels littered across the rooftop – these can be a huge advantage to players, who can quickly detonate barrels to take out multiple mercenaries . There are rooms on the roof where players can duck inside to get out of the chaos and away from any barrels about to explode too cl
Additionally, similar to Cold War, there is no limit to the number of Perk-a-Colas players can drink to activate perks simultaneously . Most Call of Duty Zombies games have capped drinking soda cans at up to four perks, with additional perks after four requiring a perk soda power-up, solving in-game puzzles, or a Perkaholic gobblegum in Black Op
The final mission of Act 2 in Modern Warfare Zombies will have players deploy to an aether-infested region of Urzikstan to test a new device developed by Dr. Jansen, the Neutralizer. If successful, this device could be the first step towards stopping the spread of the aether storm plaguing Urzikstan. Players will need to secure the area in order to airdrop the device into the mission area, and safely escort it through visit the next post horde in order to complete Act 2 and take a step closer to stopping the infection in Modern Warfare Zombi
The tombstone’s location will present itself to players at the start of the next deployment after dying with the perk active — players can find a navigation indicator on the tac-map. Players will only have one game to reach the tombstone and acquire the lost goods, as the tombstone will disappear if not collected in the game immediately following the player’s death with the perk. While players must reach the gravesite in the next following game if they wish to save any loot, they will have the full duration of that one deployment to access the grave site , so players do not need to rush straight to their tombstone after deployment, although it may be wise if large amounts of high tier loot were drop
