Both Calcharo and Xiangli Yao are practically free characters to an extent, so it’s unfortunate for Calcharo that Xiangli Yao is much better than him. Unlike Calcharo’s unforgiving rotations and frequent interruptions, Xiangli Yao is much easier to use and more forgiv

Even during the brief hands-on – and during conversation with the Kuro Games representative present during the hands-on – it became clear that Wuthering Waves has big plans for launch. There’s a wide array of content immediately available, and when I asked about post-launch plans, there wasn’t a concrete answer but an obvious indication it’s something that’s already a consideration. There’s also the fact that the team has been so readily willing to listen to player feedback. A lot of the improved elements present in this hands-on and the second closed beta are a direct result of players’ complaints from the first round of testing, with some pretty drastic redesigns already made in respo

Taoqi is the secondary shielder, giving Danjin even more resistance to taking damage from enemy attacks, allowing her to perform her combo without having to pay attention to anything else. Not only that, but Taoqi is extremely easy to build because her best weapon, the 4-Star Dauntless Evernight, can actually be found completely for free via in-game explorat
While the environment and scenery are visually fairly indistinct from what we saw, they were interesting enough, with materials to gather, enemies to defeat, and puzzles to solve. We played through a brief logic puzzle that was just above the boss fight demo, and it was a Tetris block-style conundrum that was a fun distraction. Obviously, one puzzle isn’t enough to judge an entire game’s worth of open world content so it’s mostly speculation at this point, but based on other closed beta impressions/streams it **looks like the world of Wuthering Waves will have more than enough on offer to keep people interested in its early days

Mortefi and Verina are both excellent for complementing Danjin’s no-holds-barred playstyle. Mortefi serves as a Sub-DPS in this team, using his Liberation to create an automated turret that attacks enemies whenever the on-field character uses a basic or heavy attack. His outro skill gives a 38% boost to Heavy Attack DMG, and since Danjin uses her Heavy Attack quite frequently to heal herself, this adds
Combat also feels snappy and responsive in Wuthering waves Walkthrough Waves , with well-made character movement a crucial element of the flow of battle. Dodges felt especially pinpoint and rewarding, and combat also features a parry system where a unit can time their attack to respond to an enemy’s vulnerability indicator during their own lunge – doing so results in damage and a stagger that can set up the next chain of a combo. The hands-on was a little too short to really go in-depth on these systems so it’s difficult to ascertain exactly how the interplay between dodging, parrying, and swapping units really flows, but what was on display felt intuitive and
Lumi is a fun character with high mobility who can also buff Skill DMG for DPS like Jinhsi and Carlotta. Sadly, she’s not really made for a supportive role, as she needs quite a lot of field time to activate her Outro Sk
