One such Stranger mission puts players in contact with Henri Lemieux, the mayor of Saint Denis, and his deputy, a man by the name of Jean-Marc Mercier . Jean-Marc operates as the deputy for the corrupt mayor, whom he hates with every fiber of his being, and Arthur’s actions during these Stranger missions govern whether he uncovers the mayor’s corruption and becomes the new mayor of Saint Denis, or is killed by Arthur under Lemieux’s orders.

This honorable nature makes him a stand-up character, although such idealism can be met with a cold, brutal death in the Wild West. Such is the fate that this man can possibly be exposed to, based on the choices that Arthur makes during this side mission.
