Bug Fables Review PC

Today, several games were shown during Microsoft’s Inside Xbox event, the first of a series of events that are being planned over the next few months. With a first-party event planned for July, the focus was on third-party games coming to Xbox Series X, and while the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla “gameplay” reveal was the star attraction, there was a surprising number of next-gen horror games featured in the showc

Blizzard revealed Diablo 4 with a very lengthy cinematic that puts the spotlight on the game’s main villains and the return to a dark, gothic-inspired tone. In the cinematic trailer, fans witness the villain Lilith summoned, complete with Satantic horns and what appears to be a huge (and disgusting) cape made out of human s

Xbox has shown that a freedom-driven, open-world experience can be accomplished with its first-party game Sea of Thieves from developer Rare (another UK-based studio like Playground Games, by the way). While Sea of Thieves had its own ups and downs, Rare successfully reinvented the Adventure game Updates. Again, not that a next-gen Fable should copy Sea of Thieves , but hopefully learnings (and maybe even technology) from that game could be shared between Xbox’s studios to influence Fable in a way that gives players that sense of freedom and helps the game achieve the grand RPG path that was originally envisioned with Project

Whenever Fable 4 is planning to hit shelves, Xbox needs to highlight that it’s coming out the gate strong and delivering what the fans want. It needs to show it has the system selling names, the exclusives, and the groundbreaking ideas to hang alongside the likes of Sony and stake itself a bigger claim in the generation to come. Microsoft has already shown that the Series X has groundbreaking technology and its marketing thus far has been wonderfully open and honest. All it needs now is a killer game that shows off exactly what the console can do, and Fable 4 seems to be exactly t

When I say this game aspires to be Paper Mario , I’m not talking about a few little touches here and there. From the second you load up Bug Fables, you will know that this is a Paper Mario game in practically every way except the name. Each character is a flat 2D model with big fat black outlines walking around a 3D world. The art style looks simplistic, as if it was drawn by a crayon-wielding kindergarten class, yet it’s bursting with life and personality. Even the music evokes the soundtracks of Nintendo’s games, with songs that reminded me of Final Fantasy games, Donkey Kong Country , Earthbound , and of course, the Paper Mario ser

Meanwhile, Microsoft can’t boast the same number of significant system sellers. Halo: Infinite is undeniably a massive draw, but it’s far from something entirely new for the franchise, especially with Microsoft continuing to pump out fairly frequent Halo titles over the past decade. Naturally, Xbox could provide followups to titles like Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, and Recore, but very few of these games managed to impress players or build giant fanbases when they launched during the Xbox One’s life cy

Yet, there is one franchise within the Xbox’s library that could stand toe to toe with Sony and offer some significant star power if announced over the next few months. That is, of course, the heavily-rumored Fable 4 . Teased to be receiving a significant resurrection over at Playground Games – the developer of the Forza series – the rumors surrounding the fourth iteration of the popular British fantasy series have managed to drum up a lot of hype over the last few months. Some have claimed that Fable 4 will be a full reboot , stripping away the more industrial setting of Fable 3, while others claim it’ll be much more expansive than previous entries, with bigger worlds and more personalizat

Next, rolling back the timeframe of a next-gen Fable lets it sit nicely in that medieval fantasy genre like Breath of the Wild . The first Fable was a fantasy jaunt with swords, bows and arrows, magic, medieval towns, and more standard medieval fare. Fable 2 and 3 progressed things forward and introduced industrial elements into its world as well as guns. There are rumors that this next-gen Fable would roll things back to that standard fantasy world, including removing guns from the ga

Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris developer TeamKill Media has announced its upcoming first-person shooter and horror hybrid , Quantum Error . The announcement trailer doesn’t reveal too much about the game; however, i it takes place on Earth in the year 2109 during some sort of invasion by zombie-like creatures. Quantum Error has been confirmed for both PS4 and PS5, with no word on a release win

For fans of the Fable games, the potential for Microsoft to produce another mainline entry in the series, instead of outings like Fable: The Journey and Fable Legends , is certainly exciting. Bringing back this Xbox-exclusive franchise could be a great move for Xbox, especially as it enters into a new console generation. If Microsoft plays its cards right, Fable could end up being the Breath of the Wild in Xbox’s portfo
